Project Status

West Point Partners has submitted applications for major permits to the Public Service Commission (PSC) of the State of New York and to the United States Army Corps of Engineers. This page will contain updates on the status of those permits as available, and links to significant regulatory filings related to those permits.

Current Progress

An application for an Article VII Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need was originally submitted to the PSC in 2013 and underwent review by affected New York agencies and interested parties during 2014. West Point Partners has been closely monitoring other transmission-related proceedings currently before the PSC and will pursue its case based on the outcome of those proceedings and other energy developments in New York.  The Article VII permit application and all documents related to the West Point Transmission Project can be viewed on the PSC website for case number 13-T-0292 and at municipal offices and public libraries  within the project area.

West Point Partners has also submitted an application to the Army Corps of Engineers for a permit authorizing construction of the West Point Transmission Project in waters of the United States. West Point Partners intends to pursue this permit concurrently with the Article VII Certificate, subject to the outcome of energy and transmission developments in New York.
